Resource Group working for Cost but not for Price

I have created Resource Groups for type of staff members in a Landscaping business for example and Operations Manager, Supervisor and Labourer.  I have allocated staff to one of the three resource groups.  Each resource group has both the Cost and Price defined.  When creating a new job and adding task lines when I select a resource the Cost from the Resource Group is being pulled through but the Price is not.

Ideally i don't want to assign cost and price at a resource level or on a per job basis.  I would like to budget cost/price to come from the cost and price of the approriate Resource Group.  This way I don't have to be specific about resource salaries. Can this be done?

Am i missing something?

It's great that the issue was resolved. I assume AUD is your local currency? If so, you don't need to fill in the currency code. When the currency code is blank, BC will default to the local currency per your setup.

Thank you for the help Shauna.  In following your example I realised we don't have some features enabled.  That wasn't the issue in the end.  I discovered that if removed AUD from the currency, so that it was blank that the price was pulling through.

    Hi,

Just tried on v23.2 and it seems to work as well.

Make sure to click into the Price List Code so that you can see the Unit Cost in the price list below.

    Hope that helps,
    Shauna

    Hi,

This slight difference may be down to the version.  I am running v24 but let me know your version so I can compare.

There may be something that we can enable in Feature Management but let me know your version and I can check.

    Thanks,
    Shauna

    Hi Shauna,

What you have show is exactly what I am trying to achieve, though i don't seem to have some of the fields available that you have.  This is what I have done which appears to be similar to yours other than I don't have an "assign-to type" field that I can add.  Do you have any further thoughts?

    Then I added the price/cost

But only the Unit Cost is being pulled through from the resouce group:

This is the resource setup to show I have left both cost and price blank

user won't be able to budget cost/price at the resource group level. cost and price comes from the resource card.
resource group is only used to for grouping resources.
