Hello,

I want to associate a privilege with a field located in a form. This field is of boolean type. How can I do that?

Thanks for the clarification. This requirement can be solved, but it works a bit differently than you might expect. You can manage field permissions to grant read permissions, but effectively, the user will have edit rights. So, the solution would be setting up 'deny' permissions on the update of fields for users that are not allowed editing the field. See my blog for an example bassed on another use case. How to develop a privilege that prevents the user from modifying a field on a form,this Field should not be modified by any user unless someone has the privilege granted through security and this is a custom Boolean field in the datasource linked to this Form.

Can you elaborate on the requirement? What do you mean by "associate a privilege with a field"? Is the requirement that the field should not be visible to any user unless someone has this privilege granted via security? Is this a custom field or a standard field in the application? Is it a physical field or an unbound control? Please provide more context so we are able to understand what exact behavior of the security you need to implement.
