Hello

Can a Bin be set up and used exclusively for the use of one item only?
If yes, please advise how to set this up?

Bin exclusive for an item?

you could set up Fixed bins for items. When the Fixed field is selected for an item, BC will try to put this item in the bin, and it shows the item in association with the bin even when with zero qty.

However, other items can be placed into the bin, meaning out of box, user is unable to exclusively use a fixed bin only for that item.

You may either set up business rules to restrict user to use that bin for other items or consider a customization.

Bin exclusive for an item?

Hi,

Can you confirm what way the location has been setup please? For example, is it ticked for Directed PutAway and Picks?

If you are running the latest version then it may be possible to use the putaway template for other location settings. See an example below.
