Need for building 99.99% Report Delivery Mechanism:
A lot of our Report Scheduler App customer’s had critical business processes running based on the reports/views they had scheduled to be received in email using Zap Report Scheduler App. Failure of any of these report generations, created lot of wasted time in unproductive fixes.
Below are some of the reasons for failure in report generation:
- Microsoft Azure service is down at the moment when report execution is happening.
- Dynamics Report Server receives 5-6 report generation request at the same time.
- Dynamics system overall is busy with other system processes.
- Microsoft is upgrading Dynamics servers with new patches.
Now in order to build a fool-proof report delivery, Zap product team built a AUTO RETRY MECHANISM within our report generation framework. Any report / view execution that enables this mechanism… can be retried up to 3 times after X minutes of intervals in case the report execution failed because of any specific reason.
This ensures a 99.99% report / view deliverability!!!
