Cannot create return order for closed year

Hi Experts,
 
User is unable to create Return order in 2025 for Sales order which is last year (2024) invoiced and year 2024 is closed.
Not getting any error message but not Sales order created with type (return order).
Any suggestion.

    Hi Laurens,
     
    We able to processing return order. From return order form clicking "Find Sales order" then select SO number
    and define reason code and changing the qty as per return agreed with customer clicking "OK" button.
     
    Above process working fine except a customer particular orders. Only one order for a customer when we click "OK" button as described in above process. Nothing happening no any error message.
    This customer has multiple Sales order some are invoiced in last year (2024) and that year is closed. Is this is the problem.

    Could you try processing the return order?
     
    When you create a new return, the system does not immediately generate a sales order.
     
     
    A new return order
     
     
    No new sales order yet

    From All return order.
    Note: This is happening on a particular customer (particular Sales order).

    How are you creating return order? Are you using return order form or using sales order with negative qty?
