Getting Error for Mandatory Document Date for Many Transactions.

Hello Everyone,

Recently I am coming across this new warning error about- "Document Date must be specified" - This is coming for many of the transactions such as Vendor payment, Fixed assets journal, etc.

Is it because of any setup??

In D365 FNO application

Please help.

Hi Nikhil,

It can be likely caused by the Mexican localization, but not sure as I was not involved in a Mexican roll out. Are you using the standard localization or did you include additional features from a partner?

Hi, @andre, Thank you for your reply. Yes, We are facing this recently. We have Mexican Localization added to the system, may be because of that?? I am not sure.

Also, I will ask our technical team to lokk after this by doing debugging.

Hi, @adis, Thank you for your suggestion. Yes, We have added the Mexican Localization and after which are facing this issue. But I don't see this Mandatory Document Checkbox on Journal Names form.

Interestingly, I don't have this field in my standard environment (10.0.43). Can you check if the field on your screenshot belongs to a standard model or if it is part of a third-party solution?

Hi Nikhil,

When you mention it is a new warning, was this started to appear recently? If so, what got changed? Did you install a partner solution, customization or some other change? As far as I'm aware there is no default check on the document date field in journals. It can be caused due to a customization.

A developer can debug the scenario in a non-production environment to find the root cause.
