Package No. Field in Phys. Invt. Record Line

Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on a project where we’re trying to integrate the Package No. process.

However, I noticed that the Phys. Invt. Record Line table doesn’t seem to have a Package No. field.

After doing some research, I found that Business Central 2023 Release Wave 1 (v22.4) does not support this field in the Phys. Invt. Record Line.

I have a few questions regarding this:

  • When did Microsoft introduce the Package No. feature to the Phys. Invt. Record Line?
  • Is there a cumulative update available for BC 22.4 that includes this feature?
  • If not, do you have any suggestions on how I could capture this information in the Phys. Invt. Record Line and adapt the entire process to accommodate this requirement?

Thank you for your help!

    Hi, good day
The new functionality would say that it appeared in 2023wave2

You have to check the history to find when that is added and I don't think there is an easy to way to find unless you download the versions and compare them, anyhow you can add a similar field to the table in 5000 range and use it.

Hi, I think the most recommended method is to upgrade your version. BC22 stopped supporting in October last year. . .

    Thanks

Answer to you third question is that you can try to use the way that was initially suggested by Microsoft. Please see the link below:

Answer to you second question is NO. It is not available even in BC 22.17
