Creating a batch job to release work orders automatically

My company changed from AX to D365 in July of last year. Formerly, we had a robust FTO offering of items that needed minimal work (laser etch/pack) to fulfill sales orders. We keep these goods in a semi-finished state until demand hits, which helped our FG inventory from ballooning with unnecessary stock. 
 
Since switching to D365, the program has run into all sorts of problems, and we're still fighting to get it back up. We recently came up with a temporary solution where we put all these goods into coverage groups that only create work based on sales demand. The problem with this is that we have to release work manually, which can be time consuming. 
 
Could we create a batch job that locates all work orders associated with the new coverage groups and automatically releases them? I've tried a few searches but haven't found an answer to that question. Any help with this is greatly appreciated!

    Dynamics 365 allows query-based firming, where you define a query to select planned orders based on their properties. You can set up a batch job to run this query and firm matching orders on a regular schedule:
