Hi 

subject: Inventory blocking on serial number level

Issue: When creating a quality order D365 creates an inventory blocking. This blocking needs to be on that specific serial number or serial numbers that the quality order concerns.

please guide us on this issue.

    These Quality Orders are triggered from the Purchase Order once the quantity is registered.
     
    If we check the inventory dimensions in the quality order, the serial number is present for each line.
     
    If we check the inventory transactions for the inventory blocking, there is a quantity of -2 without a serial number (as one quality order failed, resulting in a quantity of 2). The same serial number present in the quality order should be displayed against the inventory blocking transaction for consistency and traceability.

    If you create the quality order you can specify the dimensions like batch and serial number:
     
     
    When you click on 'Ok', a quality order will be created for the selected item + dimensions. Also a record in the inventory blocking will be created.

    Can you provide more detail please?
    What does your setup look like for Quality associations, what have you used to trigger the quality order creation / stock blocking?
     
    Also, what are your results now, perhaps a screenshot of the issue and the expectation?
