Receive & Invoice the item together

Dear Members, 
 
I need to receive and invoice together. For instance, Person A generates a PO, and Person B is responsible for receiving and invoicing the item. However, Person B does not have the permissions to receive and invoice from the PO. How can this be accomplished in BC? Is there a standard function that can achieve this? Please share your valuable ideas on this.

    Hi, If that's the case, there are complex solutions.
    Post Receipt on Warehouse Receipt, Post Invoice on Purchase Invoice.
     
    This method is generally used to create orders, receive, and invoice items, which are all different departments and require their own documents.
    If you really need to, you can research it.

    Sorry but your question isn’t entirely clear. Based on your comments below, yes, Person B can receive the items using a warehouse receipt.

    They can then create the invoice either directly from the warehouse receipt or by using the Purchase Invoices page. 

    In either case, after all items on a purchase order have been received and invoiced, the purchase order will remain in the system. You’ll need to delete it manually, or you can search for and run the Delete Invoiced Purchase Orders function to handle it. Do you need help setting up the above using permissions?

    Person B is to be restricted from PO access as no modification has to be made in PO. We can receive items through the warehouse receipt and process invoices via purchase invoices. Will the PO be closed once it has been invoiced?

     I apologize for phrasing the question incorrectly.

    For instance, Person A generates a PO, and Person B is responsible for receiving and invoicing the item. Person B is to be restricted from PO access as no modification has to be made in PO. So what is the method to receive and Invoice by not modifying the PO? Is there any standard method to Receive & invoice the item other than the PO?

    If Person B is responsible for both receiving and invoicing, you could consider assigning them the appropriate permissions to perform these tasks directly.

    Hi, You just need permission management to do what you mentioned.
    If B cannot post, please check B's permissions.
    Also, if there are any error messages when posting, it would be very helpful if you can provide them.

    Could you advise why person B shouldn't be able to receive and invoice from PO? If you don't want B to view detailed PO information, you could enable Receive on the location. So, person B could receive and post via the warehouse receipt, which don't have vendor and costing information.

    If person B needs to receive and process invoices, why not simply grant them the necessary permissions to handle both tasks?
